Trees takes the botanical and makes it atmospheric. Vertical forms — trunks, canopy, the blurred edge of a forest — are rendered in warm taupe and grey, soft-focus and slightly receding, as though seen through early morning haze. Hand-knotted in New Zealand wool. Not a depiction of trees. The particular feeling of standing among them.
