The carpet series explores the theme of “Dialogue with Nature,” offering five graphics that reflect moments of life through natural inspiration. From the shimmering of light and shadows to forest echoes, honey, zucchini slices and a hidden pond, each design captures quiet, vivid beauty.

Atsushi Shindo graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts in 2016 and has since held two things in tension: the precision of commercial interior design — hotels, offices, large-scale public spaces — and a quieter investigation into the fundamental appeal of materials and atmosphere. The Dialogues Collection emerges from that second current, and from the conversation between Shindo’s Japanese design sensibility and the ancient hand-knotting traditions of Asia. Considered, unhurried, and made to ask something of the spaces it inhabits.
Every carpet in the Dialogues Collection is woven in Asia, with an unbroken hand-knotting tradition stretching back centuries.
Shindo’s designs are translated into precise technical drawings, then handed to master artisans whose families have practised this craft for generations. The result is a carpet that carries both inheritances — in equal measure, in every knot.
